The Uncertain Sound

Cast down reasonings. Cast them down. God don't want you to have reason. Reason always tries to find a way out. Faith don't reason. Faith just believes. Your mind, what makes you reason. It's a liar. The lie detector proves that. God's Bible, first, proves it. But your soul is immortal, brother, sister. Your reasoning power will leave you when death strikes you, but your soul will be with you through eternity. Won't you believe God's Word today and accept Him?

And what a consolation for the believer to separate himself from all the unbelief, all their ungodly creeds, all their ungodly doctrines, and look straight to Christ and take the Word, and hold onto that Word till you see It being made manifest. No matter how long you have to wait, stay there. God promised it. He led you to it; hold onto it. Stay there. Don't take it back. Stay right there. If you're sure of it, you'll stay there. But if you're wavering, you'll turn loose at any little thing. A monkey grabs at shiny things, but a bear holds his hold. So you stay on. Yes, hold on, good grip... El Shaddai! He said, "I'm El Shaddai, Abraham; I am the strong One. You're an old man. You're a hundred years old now, your strength's all gone; but I am your Strength. Your hope's all gone; but I am your Hope." Oh, you suffering now, and out here with cancer and stuff, can't you see where your Strength comes from? Not from the surgeon's knife, but from the--God's Word! "I am your Portion. I am your Strength. You draw your strength from Me."

Time

Brother Branham said, “What you read, what you do, molds your character. It--it tells what you are.” It’s easy to fall into the trap of wasting time with reading or watching things that do nothing for our souls and our walk with the Lord Jesus. This sister, has a good perspective on what is worth her time, and what is not. We received this testimony as feedback from our article posted on May 15, titled “Stats.”

I just wanted to thank you for this post, especially the first two sentences. It is so true. I have become very disappointed in myself because here I have all the good news at my fingertips on branham.org but still I visit other websites more then this one! I find myself reading other articles and they would always make me feel so burdened down and sad after I read them and I couldn't understand why. They're just harmless articles, right?
I don't know why it never occurred to me, because those first two sentences make it so plain. I'm feeding my soul with all this negativity of the world, of course its going to weigh me down! The Lord has really been dealing with me over this for a while, and one day I was reading a book that had this Scripture in it: “above all else, Guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” Proverbs 4:23 (NIV). To me I felt like the Lord was saying, “All that you put in is what will come out of you” and it was a horrid thought because of what I put in daily, not near enough of the Word of God! And that’s what comes out?
And then I read this article and it has also helped put it into plainer terms for. That’s how the Lord does you know, He makes it so simple for you because He cares so much that He wants to make sure you fully understand!
I've been praying that the Lord will put in my heart a greater desire to listen to His prophet and to read his words of encouragement, and in literally just a few days I have felt the love grow in my heart for this Word.
I'm so thankful that He chose me! Thank you so much for all your effort towards HIS Bride!

THE MISSING TIME

For all the scientists out there, and for all the students who have a hard time convincing these people regarding the truth of the Bible, here's something that shows God's awesome creation, and that He is still in control.


Did you know that the space program is busy proving that what has been called "myth" in the Bible is true?


Mr. Harold Hill, President of the Curtis Engine Company in Baltimore, Maryland, and a consultant in the space program, relates the following development. "I think one of the most amazing things that God has done for us today happened recently to our astronauts and space scientists at Greenbelt, Maryland. They were checking out where the positions of the sun, moon, and planets would be 100 years and 1,000 years from now.


“We have to know this so we won't send up a satellite and have it bump into something later on in its orbits. We have to lay out the orbits in terms of the life of the satellite and where the planets will be so the whole thing will not bog down.”


They ran the computer measurement back and forth over the centuries, and it came to a halt. The computer stopped and put up a red signal, which meant that there was something wrong with either the information fed into it or with the results as compared to the standards.


They called in the service department to check it out, and they said, “What's wrong?” Well, they found there is a day missing in space in elapsed time. They scratched their heads and tore their hair. There was no answer.


Finally a Christian man on the team said, '”You know, one time I was in Sunday School, and they talked about the sun standing still.”


While they didn't believe him, they didn't have an answer either, so they said, “Show us.” He got a Bible and went to the book of Joshua where they found a pretty ridiculous statement for any one with 'common sense.' There they found the Lord saying to Joshua, “Fear them not, I have delivered them into thy hand; there shall not a man of them stand before thee.” Joshua was concerned because he was surrounded by the enemy, and if darkness fell, they would overpower them. So Joshua asked the Lord to make the sun stand still! That's right. The sun stood still and the moon stayed and lasted not to go down about a whole day!” (Joshua 10:8, 12-13)


The astronauts and scientists said, “There is the missing day!” They checked the computers going back into the time it was written and found it was close but not close enough. The elapsed time that was missing back in Joshua's day was 23 hours and 20 minutes... not a whole day.


They reread the Bible, and there it was 'about (approximately) a day.' These little words in the Bible are important, but they were still in trouble because if you cannot account for 40 minutes, you'll still be in trouble 1,000 years from now. Forty minutes had to be found because it can be multiplied many times over in orbits.


As the Christian employee thought about it, he remembered some where in the Bible where it said the sun went BACKWARDS.


The scientists told him he was out of his mind, but they got out the Book and read these words in 2 Kings 20:9-11 that told of the following story: “Hezekiah, on his death bed, was visited by the prophet Isaiah who told him that he was not going to die. Hezekiah asked for a sign as proof. Isaiah said 'Do you want the sun to go ahead 10 degrees?' Hezekiah said, 'It is nothing for the sun to go ahead 10 degrees, but let the shadow return backward 10 degrees.' Isaiah spoke to the Lord, and the Lord brought the shadow ten degrees BACKWARD!" Ten degrees is exactly 40 minutes!


Twenty-three hours and 20 minutes in Joshua, plus 40 minutes in Second Kings make the missing day in the universe!

Don't look at yourself. Look at your Lamb. God don't accept you; He accepted the Lamb. And the Lamb took your place. O God, can't you see it? Not you, you're not worthy. I'm not worthy. But don't look at what he said. Don't look at what you're--how you're diminishing. But look at your Sacrifice. That's it. And remember you're Abraham's seed and heirs with him. Then if you are, stay with the promise. Accept Him as your Healer. Just stay right there

Witness

II CORINTHIANS 5:17


You know, I think, today, we bury too many live people. You bury people after they're dead. Is that right? Yes, sir. Listen, brother, a dead man won't argue with you. You can say anything to him you want to, call him all kinds of names, he won't say a word. Why? He's dead. And a man that's dead in Christ, you can offer him a drink, you can give him this, that, or the other, but he's dead. And he's hid in Christ, through God, sealed by the Holy Spirit. Amen. That's it. Now, then he can't do those things, because he--he just can't do it. It's against his nature. He becomes a new creature. You take an old hog, and wash him up, and scrub him up, and manicure his toe nails, and give it lipstick, and put it on all the nylons you want to; turn it loose, it'll go right to a wallow and wallow. The scrubbing don't do no good. It's still got the nature of a hog. And then you take a lamb and put him in a mud hole, he will squeal till you get him out. Why? He's the nature of a lamb. Now, the only way to keep the hog out of the mud is change his nature. That's right. That's the only way to make a Christian: Let his nature be changed, from a sinner to a saint. See? And there's only one remedy, that's the Holy Spirit. Then you're a witness. Amen.

The Serpent Seed

The Bible said that we were predestinated to the sons and adoption of the sons of God before the foundation of the world. Then when God slayed the Lamb in His Own thinking before the foundation of the world to prove out His attributes, what He was, when the Lamb was slain, we were slain with It. When the Blood of the Lamb was caught in His Own mind back there before the foundation of the world, mine and your names were written on the Book then. All in His great thinking. He's infinite. If He didn't, why did He permit it? Which is the strongest, (I've said,) a Saviour or sinner? Which has got the most strength? Then the stronger had to permit the lesser. And He only does it for His glory. When He made Lucifer, He knowed he would be the devil. And He had to let it be there to show that He was the Saviour, the Christ. He had to let it happen that way. Now, don't the Bible say all things work together for good to them that love God? So what are you scared about? Let us be up and doing with a heart for any strife. Be not like dumb driven cattle, had to be begged and persuaded and... Be a hero. I like that. Stand up.

Loving This Old Time Religion...

Somebody said to me not long ago, said, "Brother Branham, you're preaching this new kind of salvation, aren't you?" I said, "No, sir." Said, "Ain't you got some of this new salvation?" I said, "No. I got a new case of the old salvation." That's right. I said, "This is the oldest there is." Said, "When was it organized?" I said, "Before the world was ever founded." Said, "How do you get that?" I said, "Job 7:27 said, 'Where was you when I laid the foundation of the world, when the morning stars sang together and the sons of God shouted for joy?'" 
Well this old-time, heartfelt, sky-blue, sin-killing religion shouting, why, my, it's older that the Bible. It's older than the hills. It's older--it's older than the earth. It's not new. It's something old. Just being a new case of it. Don't get inoculated from it. Come to it.

That Day on Calvary

Finally one day, that's that day at Calvary, there was One came down from glory, One by the Name of Jesus Christ, the Son of God Who came from glory, and Calvary was formed. That was the day that the price was paid, and sin question was settled forever, and it opened up the way unto this thing that we're hungering and thirsting for. It brought a place of satisfaction. There's no man that's ever visit Calvary and seen it the way it was, that can ever be the same. Everything that he ever desired or longed for is met when he reaches that place. It was such an important day and such an important thing, it shook the world. It shook the world like it was never shook before when Jesus died at Calvary and paid the sin question. This sinful world had a blackout. The sun went down in the middle of the day; it had a nervous prostration. The rocks shook, the mountains rent, and the dead bodies bursted from the grave. What did it do? God zeroed in on Calvary. He wounded that animal called Satan forever.

THE CHURCH IS GODS' AND NOT YOURS...

The Church we know today has turned the Church of God into an organization, forgetting God there maker, who founded the Church.

God never intended the Church to be run by men. God runs His Church, and He runs it through gifts of the Spirit. That is why He formed a 5-Man force to make sure things are running smoothly with Him as the Commander-in-Chief. More like a committee. They are Apostles, Prophets, Teachers, Evangelists and Pastors. They have been ordained to correct the errors in the Church and to direct the lives of the children of God. Let’s just they are God’s mouth piece, the Elected offices of God to His Church.
